Feasibility study of a novel technique for treating refractory ascites using a peritoneobladder shunt in a swine model.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
Ascites is often treated through paracentesis, which requires repeated application and poses risks. In this study, we developed a peritoneobladder shunt that allows natural ascites drainage from the peritoneal cavity to the bladder.

Graphene‐Engineered Rear Interfaces Enable Efficient Flexible CZTSSe Solar Cells on Metal Foils

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An atomically thin graphene interlayer stabilizes the rear interface of flexible CZTSSe solar cells by regulating interfacial stress, suppressing detrimental interfacial reactions, and reducing the back‐contact barrier. This strategy simultaneously improves photovoltaic performance and mechanical durability.

EBV‐Driven ODC1 Upregulation Enhances Polyamine Anabolism to Promote Viral Replication and Cisplatin Resistance in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
EBV‑BZLF1 initiates ODC1‑driven polyamine anabolism that correlates with poor clinical prognosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. The ODC1–spermidine axis promotes viral replication, cell proliferation and innate immune evasion. Pharmacological inhibition of ODC1 rescues cisplatin sensitivity, establishing ODC1 as a viable therapeutic target for EBV ...

A Linear Distflow Model Considering Line Shunts

open access: yes, 2023
Line shunts are usually ignored by various power flow (PF) models in distribution system analysis, planning and optimization. However, ``charging effects" from line shunts of underground/submarine power cables would cause non-negligible model errors for ...

Unveiling a Near‐Total Rear Passivation for High Performance of Ultra‐Thin ACIGS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ultra‐thin solar cells of (Ag,Cu)(In,Ga)Se2 (ACIGS) suffer from rear interface recombination, limiting their performance. To tackle it, a full coverage plasma enhanced chemically vapor‐deposited 8 nm porous SiOx passivation layer was implemented and evaluated. It is shown that a combination of the near‐complete passivation from silica and the formation

Advances in Se Wide‐Bandgap Photovoltaics and TexSe1‐x SWIR Photodiodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this review, fundamental properties and current challenges in Se photovoltaics (PVs) for tandem and indoor PVs and TexSe1‐x alloys for short wave infrared photodiodes are discussed. A case is made for the practicality of elemental chalcogenide optoelectronics, and a pathway toward resolving the key challenges in these respective technologies is ...

Flux shunts for undulators

open access: yes, 1993
Undulators for high-performance applications in synchrotron-radiation sources and periodic magnetic structures for free-electron lasers have stringent requirements on the curvature of the electron`s average trajectory.
