A new maze puzzle pattern array (PPA) is presented to optimize shade allocation, alleviate the mismatch losses of PV (photovoltaic) arrays in partially shaded circumstances, and maximize output in partially shaded operation with zero extra sensors, switching components, and optimum searching schemes.
