Modeling Skin Mark Temporal Variations to Estimate the Sex of Delphinids with Low Sexual Dimorphism: Implications for Management and Conservation

This work aimed to apply the principles of skin mark analysis to a cetacean species to build a sex‐discrimination model exclusively based on photographic material. Uncovering the Process of Sexual Segregation: Male Early‐Life Individual Tactics Shape Its Onset and Affect Phenotypic Quality in a Large Mammal

Early‐life traits significantly influence sexual segregation patterns and phenotypic quality in male fallow deer. Males in better condition and those more risk‐prone left natal groups earlier with fewer returns to natal groups. However, males with frequent excursions back to natal groups compensated for initial body condition disadvantages.

Size, Spines, and Nests: What Drives Variation in Death‐Feigning Behavior in Fungus‐Farming Ants?

We investigated death‐feigning (DF; thanatosis) in fungus‐farming ants, testing how stimulus intensity, morphology, and nest traits shape its occurrence and duration using generalized linear mixed models. Stronger stimuli increased both likelihood and duration, but most variation was structured across species, colonies, and individuals.
