Nivolumab‐induced sialadenitis [PDF]
Nivolumab has been increasingly used for a range of malignancies, and a variety of immune‐related adverse events (irAEs) have been reported with its use. Nivolumab‐induced sialadenitis (inflammation of salivary glands) and xerostomia (dry mouth) have been reported to occur in 0.03% and 0.05% respectively, but there have been no case reports published ...

Using the European-American classification criteria the diagnosis of autoimmune sialadenitis in Sjögren's syndrome can generally be easily established or excluded. In addition, sonography performed by the ENT physician is helpful in diagnosing and especially in follow-up screening for MALT lymphomas, which 5%-10% of patients develop.

Granulomatous inflammation in salivary tissues is most often a response to liberated ductal contents, particularly mucin, in various degrees of obstructive sialadenopathy. Far less often is a granulomatous sialadenitis the result of specific infective granulomas or systemic granuloma-forming diseases, In these instances, the salivary parenchymal ...

Chronic obstructive sialadenitis
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1971Abstract Conservative treatment of sialodochitis and ductal perforation is described. Phenylbutazone-induced sialadenitis
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1974Abstract The use of phenylbutazone drugs as anti-inflammatory agents might result in adverse reactions at different organ levels, including salivary glands. A case of sialadenitis following phenylbutazone administration is described. The results of the laboratory work-up and salivary gland scintigraphy are presented to support the diagnosis and ...
