Structure, mechanical properties and oxidation resistance of MoSi2, MoSiB and MoSiB/SiBC coatings

Powder Metallurgy аnd Functional Coatings), 2018Magnetron sputtering was used to obtain single-layer MoSi2, MoSiB and multilayer MoSiB/SiBC coatings. Coating structures were studied using X-ray phase analysis, scanning electron microscopy and glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy. Mechanical properties of the coatings were determined by nanoindentation.

High-temperature flexural properties of SiBC modified C/SiC composites
Ceramics International, 2014Abstract In the present paper, high-temperature flexural properties of the SiBC modified C/SiC composites were investigated via the four-point bending method. The flexural strength and elastic modulus of the composites tested at 25 °C, 800 °C and 1200 °C were 276 MPa, 377 MPa, 440 MPa, and 78 GPa, 183 GPa, 189 GPa, respectively.
