Genetic Polymorphism of Siberian Stone Pine (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) in Kuznetsk Alatau
Contemporary Problems of Ecology, 2020The DNA polymorphism of seven coenopopulations of Siberian stone pine (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) growing in a region which is typical for mountain taiga pine forests—the northeastern part of the Kuznetsk Alatau—has been studied. According to the data of 11 nuclear microsatellite loci, 44 allelic variants which significantly differed between the studied ...

Data are presented on the ecology of Siberian stone pine and Siberian larch in recent Altai mountain glacial basins at elevations above 2100 m a.s.l. The representative example of the Aktru basin is used to demonstrate the ranges of tolerance of these tree species to a series of ecological factors.

The Siberian stone pine (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) is one of the main forest-forming coniferous species of the boreal ecosystems of Western Siberia. We used the isozyme method to analyze 11 ecotypes representing the latitudinal and longitudinal profiles within the species range, including samples from the geographic boundaries of the distribution.

The results of a karyological study on Siberian stone pines growing in the bog demonstrated differences from the populations of this species studied earlier with respect to sizes of chromosomes and location of secondary constrictions. The number of nucleolar organizer regions in the chromosomes of Siberian stone pine trees growing in the bog was larger
