495-Year Wood Anatomical Record of Siberian Stone Pine (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) as Climatic Proxy on the Timberline [PDF]

open access: yesForests, 2022
The application of quantitative wood anatomy (QWA) in dendroclimatic analysis offers deep insight into the climatic effect on tree-ring formation, which is crucial in understanding the forests’ response to climate change. However, interrelations between tree-ring traits should be accounted to separate climatic signals recorded during subsequent stages ...

Allozyme evidence for polyzygotic polyembryony in Siberian stone pine (Pinus sibirica Du Tour)

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Genetics, 1995
Approximately 4000 mature seeds from 350 trees in nine populations (12-75 trees per population) of Siberian stone pine were investigated for multiple embryos (polyembryony). Haploid megagametophytes and embryos were genotyped for eight allozyme loci. Eight-yone seeds (2.11%) had more than 1 embryo.

Spatial-Coherent Dynamics and Climatic Signals in the Radial Growth of Siberian Stone Pine (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) in Subalpine Stands along the Western Sayan Mountains

open access: yesForests, 2022
Siberian stone pine (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) is one of the keystone conifers in Siberian taiga, but its radial growth is complacent and thus rarely investigated. We studied its growth in subalpine stands near the upper timberline along the Western Sayan Mountains, Southern Siberia, because climatic responses of trees growing on the boundaries of ...

Resistance to Fungal Diseases of the Siberian (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) and Korean (Pinus koraiensis Siebold et Zucc.) Stone Pines in the Provenance Trails at the South of Krasnoyarsk Territory [PDF]

open access: yesСибирский лесной журнал, 2014
The reason of the epiphytoty in the provenance trials of the Siberian (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) and Korean (Pinus koraiensis Siebold et Zucc.) stone pines in the foothills of the Western Sayan (south of Krasnoyarsk territory) was established. The cause of

Preliminary Results of De Novo Whole Genome Sequencing of the Siberian Larch (Larix sibirica Ledeb.) and the Siberian Stone Pine (Pinus sibirica Du Tour) [PDF]

open access: yesСибирский лесной журнал, 2014
The Illumina HiSeq2000 DNA sequencing generated 2 906 977 265 high quality paired-end nucleotide sequences (reads) and 576 Gbp for Siberian larch (Larix sibirica Ledeb.) that corresponds to 48X coverage of the larch genome (12.03 Gbp), and 3 427 566 813 ...

Cyclic Variation of Residual (CO2 + H2O) and Total Pressure in Conifer Stem and Woody Root Tree Rings [PDF]

open access: yesЖурнал Сибирского федерального университета: Серия Биология, 2018
Tree-ring chronologies of stem discs and core samples have been widely used to reconstruct the climatic conditions of tree growth. However, insufficient attention has been given to the fact that root and stem wood accumulate biogenic gases, whose ...
