Background and Purpose Obesity involves profound disruptions in neuronal circuits, neuroendocrine communication and the endocannabinoid system. While global blockade of cannabinoid CB1 receptors improves metabolism, its clinical use is limited by neuropsychiatric side effects.

Abstract Polymetallic sulfide deposits produced at hydrothermal vent fields are targets for mining exploitation along the Mid‐Atlantic Ridge, threatening the functioning and resilience of vent ecosystems that provide multiple ecosystem services. Knowledge about connectivity between vents will inform conservation practices.

Improving Performance of Side Weirs Using Groups of Vane Plates or Piles [PDF]
Weirs are among the most common hydraulic structures that have been used for centuries by hydraulic engineers for flow measurement, energy dissipation, flow diversion, regulation of flow depth, and flood passage.

Epidermoid cyst as differential diagnosis for spherical keratoma: What do we know?
Summary This article briefly presents the case of a space‐occupying coronary band mass that raised the question of how one can differentiate between two uncommonly seen but now commonly paired differential diagnoses and prompted a review of the relevant literature.

ABSTRACT To study variables that may trigger the dispersion of the currently expanding European catfish in its native distribution limits, 42 individuals were captured from Upper Lake Constance (lentic) and 42 from two streaming tributaries (lotic), fitted with pressure and temperature loggers, and released at the site of capture (control: lotic or ...

Neurodiversity and intersectionality in the workplace: A narrative review and research agenda
Abstract Neurodiversity has important implications for individuals and organizations as an increasingly salient but under‐researched dimension of diversity in the workplace. In this article, we provide an interdisciplinary review of neurodiversity research through the lens of intersectionality, with a particular focus on the potential ways ...

Flow Over Side Weirs in Rectangular and Circular Channels
Flow over side weirs in rectangular and circular channels is discussed. Numerical models are obtained from energy principles and are solved by a finite difference method. The results are presented in diagrammatic form for practical use. It is shown that rectangular channel side weir procedures cannot be used for obtaining approximate water surface ...

Distinctive gene expression in the reduced first thoracic legs of a nymphalid butterfly
Transcriptome analysis reveals that the small non‐walking front legs of a butterfly have distinct gene expression to the four walking legs. Reduced front legs express a gene with putative mechanosensory roles, a blue‐sensitive opsin and two homeobox genes.
