Extraction of level density and gamma strength function from primary gamma spectra [PDF]
We present a new iterative procedure to extract the level density and the gamma strength function from primary gamma spectra for energies close up to the neutron binding energy. The procedure is tested on simulated spectra and on data from the Yb-173(He-3,alpha)Yb-172 reaction.

Abstract The growing sophistication of cyberattacks exposes small‐ and medium‐sized businesses (SMBs) to a widening range of security risks. As these threats evolve in complexity, the need for advanced security measures becomes increasingly pressing. This necessitates a proactive approach to defending against potential cyber intrusions.

Thermal and electromagnetic properties of 166-Er and 167-Er [PDF]
The primary gamma-ray spectra of 166-Er and 167-Er are deduced from the (3-He,alpha gamma) and (3-He,3-He' gamma) reaction, respectively, enabling a simultaneous extraction of the level density and the gamma-ray strength function. Entropy, temperature and heat capacity are deduced from the level density within the micro-canonical and the canonical ...

Abstract figure legend Placental mitochondrial adaptation to gestational hypoxia. Hypoxic pregnancy in sheep increases placental insulin like growth factor 2 (IGF2) signalling (1), which is associated with a shift in capacity away from β‐oxidation (2) and complex I‐mediated respiration (3), while maintaining total oxidative phosphorylation capacity (4).

Global Precipitation Estimate Error Decomposition Analysis for 14 Passive Microwave Sensors
Abstract Previous studies investigated the satellite precipitation error characteristics via error decomposition analysis over several land regions. This study, for the first time, decomposes the total error of precipitation estimates from 14 passive microwave (PMW) sensors in the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) PMW radiometer constellation into

An Intrusion and Fault Tolerant Forensic Storage for a SIEM System [PDF]
Current Security Information and Events Management (SIEM) solutions lack a data storage facility which is secure enough - i.e. stored events related to security incidents cannot be forged and are always available - that it can be used for forensic purposes.
