Comb graphs and spectral decimation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We investigate the spectral properties of matrices associated with comb graphs. We show that the adjacency matrices and adjacency matrix Laplacians of the sequences of graphs show a spectral similarity relationship in the sense of work by L.

A lower bound on volumes of end‐periodic mapping tori

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 18, Issue 3, September 2025.
Abstract We provide a lower bound on the volume of the compactified mapping torus of a strongly irreducible end‐periodic homeomorphism f:S→S$f: S \rightarrow S$. This result, together with work of Field, Kim, Leininger, and Loving [J. Topol. 16 (2023), no.

The hamiltonicity and path t-coloring of Sierpiński-like graphs

open access: yes, 2012
A mapping ϕ from V(G) to {1,2,…,t} is called a path t-coloring of a graph G if each G[ϕ−1(i)], for 1≤i≤t, is a linear forest. The vertex linear arboricity of a graph G, denoted by vla(G), is the minimum t for which G has a path t-coloring.

Graphical models for topological groups: A case study on countable Stone spaces

open access: yesBulletin of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 57, Issue 8, Page 2311-2335, August 2025.
Abstract By analogy with the Cayley graph of a group with respect to a finite generating set or the Cayley–Abels graph of a totally disconnected, locally compact group, we detail countable connected graphs associated to Polish groups that we term Cayley–Abels–Rosendal graphs.

Fractal Scaling of Explosively Driven Product Gases

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, Volume 50, Issue 5, May 2025.
The expanding interface between explosive product gases and ambient air is characterized as a function of time by the fractal dimension of the interface which is extracted from high‐speed image sequences. The interface is observed to increase in fractal dimension, and thus complexity, as time from detonation progresses.

Learning Image Fractals Using Chaotic Differentiable Point Splatting

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, Volume 44, Issue 2, May 2025.
Abstract Fractal geometry, defined by self‐similar patterns across scales, is crucial for understanding natural structures. This work addresses the fractal inverse problem, which involves extracting fractal codes from images to explain these patterns and synthesize them at arbitrary finer scales.

Edelgas bietet eine Lösung für die Herausforderung der Synthese ausgedehnter kovalenter Nanostrukturen auf inerten Oberflächen

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 17, April 17, 2025.
Adel verpflichtet!

On multiparametrized integral inequalities via generalized α‐convexity on fractal set

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 48, Issue 1, Page 980-1002, 15 January 2025.
This article explores integral inequalities within the framework of local fractional calculus, focusing on the class of generalized α$$ \alpha $$‐convex functions. It introduces a novel extension of the Hermite‐Hadamard inequality and derives numerous fractal inequalities through a novel multiparameterized identity.

Harmonic balls in Liouville quantum gravity

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 130, Issue 1, January 2025.
Abstract Harmonic balls are domains that satisfy the mean‐value property for harmonic functions. We establish the existence and uniqueness of harmonic balls on Liouville quantum gravity (LQG) surfaces using the obstacle problem formulation of Hele–Shaw flow.

Gain Improvement of Bidirectional Substrate‐Integrated Waveguide‐Based Circular Cavity‐Backed Hexagonal Split Ring‐Shaped Slotted Antenna Using Metamaterial as Superstrate

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
A low profile substrate‐integrated waveguide (SIW)‐based circular cavity‐backed slotted antenna is proposed at an operating frequency of 5.42 GHz for wireless applications in U‐NII‐2B band in the TM010 fundamental mode. Two hexagonal split ring‐shaped slots of 7 and 4 mm radius are placed on the patch as well as on the ground plane, resulting in ...
