Atacamite from Sierra Gorda, Chili

In this paper are recorded the observations made upon four exceptionally good specimens of atacamite in the British Museum, which have been submitted to careful study with tile object of determining the geometrical and physical characters of the mineral with greater accuracy than has hitherto been possible.

Jurassic magnetostratigraphy, 1. Kimmeridgian-Tithonian of Sierra Gorda and Carcabuey, southern Spain

Abstract Two coeval sections of red to white ammonite-rich pelagic limestones spanning the complete Kimmeridgian and most of the Tithonian were sampled in detail. All samples were treated by progressive thermal demagnetization to remove a present field overprint. Characteristic magnetization is carried primarily by magnetite.
