Crystal structure model for metavoltine from Sierra Gorda

TMPM Tschermaks Mineralogische und Petrographische Mitteilungen, 1976
The crystal structure of metavoltine from Sierra Gorda, Chile, has been solved from photographic X-ray data by the heavy atom method. The space group used wasP3 witha=9.575(5) andc=18.17(1)A; cell content: K2Na6 (Fe2+, Cu, Zn)Fe 6 3+ (SO4)12O2·18H2O.

Polygenetic soils of montane cloud forest in Sierra Gorda, Mexico

Geoderma Regional, 2016
Abstract The aim of the study was to fill the gap in the knowledge on soils of montane cloud forest: until recently the soils formed in base-rich parent material under this forest type were insufficiently studied. We provided pedogenetic analysis of soils of two localities under montane cloud forest ecosystems in Sierra Gorda Mountains, Quiretaro ...

GEOLOGY OF CU-MO SIERRA GORDA DEPOSIT, NORTH CHILE

Biuletyn Państwowego Instytutu Geologicznego, 2017
Samples collected during the KGHM PM S.A. program Go Global Internship were used in these work to develop a mineralogical model of all zones in the Sierra Gorda deposit. Reflected light microscope observation and quantitative microchemical analyses show that thedeposit is characterized by high variability of all parameters. The major mineral within the

Spectral Analysis of Time Series of Carbonate Aquifer of Sierra Gorda

2017
Both Moon and Sun induce Earth tides. Signatures of the Earth’s crustal tides could be recorded in the groundwater in the form of rise and fall of its piezometric surface. In relationship with this phenomenon, there is a scarcity of these kinds of studies in carbonate aquifers.
