In Oaxaca there are several areas with forest management, the Capulalpam de Mendez, District of Ixtlan is one of them. This economic activity can affect mammals diversity directly. An evaluation was carried out by transecting this richness in two areas, one preserved and another in forest management.

Management coverage and spatial gaps for carnivore habitat across Mexico
We evaluated the spatial overlap between four land management types and the habitat of 28 terrestrial carnivores in Mexico. Our findings reveal that non‐designated land management types like Indigenous Territories may provide significant habitat coverage, and that significant coverage gaps for carnivores remain.
