Improved non-sieving quadratic sieve

Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences, 2007
In this paper, we give two theorems and one guess about prime numbers and Blum integers. We prove the two theorems about Blum integers.Combining the guess with the primitive non-sieving quadratic sieve, we proposed a improved non-sieving quadratic sieve(INQS).In INQS, we not only reduce the times of squares and modulo n, but also imply another important

Thermoplastic Molecular Sieves

Chemistry of Materials, 2000
An inexpensive and reusable thermoplastic material that is promising in the field of chemical separations, and in particular of water and air purification from volatile organic compounds, is presented. This semicrystalline material based on syndiotactic polystyrene comprises a nanoporous crystalline phase where guest molecules can be clathrated ...

THE ILLUSORY SIEVE

International Journal of Number Theory, 2005
We study some of the extremely strong statements that can be made about the distribution of primes assuming the (unlikely) existence of exceptional Dirichlet characters. We treat this in general and then apply the results to the particular cases of primes of the form a2 + b6 and of elliptic curves having prime discriminant.

On Sieved Orthogonal Polynomials. V: Sieved Pollaczek Polynomials

SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 1987
[For part IV see the second author in J. Approximation Theory 46, 284-296 (1986; reviewed above).] The Pollaczek polynomials are the orthogonal polynomials whose recurrence relation is \[ (n+1)(P_{n+1}(x)=2[(n+\lambda +a)x+b]P_ n(x)- (n+2\lambda -1)P_{n-1}(x), \] \(P_{-1}(x)=0\), \(p_ 0(x)=1\).

Metalloporphyrin Molecular Sieves

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2000
Crystal-engineering strategies have been systematically developed for the rational design by self-assembly of diverse metalloporphyrin molecular-sieve materials. Cooperative coordination and hydrogen bonding algorithms of molecular recognition proved particularly useful for this aim.
