Herbivory‐Induced Stomatal Opening Triggers the Dispersal of an Invasive Insect Herbivore

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The invasive leafminer Phthorimaea absoluta uniquely manipulates plant defenses by inducing stomatal opening in tomato. This response, mediated by the stomatal regulator IQM1, enhances the release of the repellent volatile benzaldehyde. This volatile triggers the dispersal of adult moths, facilitates colonization of new hosts, and leads to rapid ...

The SIFT and FALP techniques; applications to ionic and electronic reactions studies and their evolution to the SIFT-MS and FA-MS analytical methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Flow tube reactors coupled with quantitative mass spectrometry have made, and continue to make, major contributions to gas phase ion–molecule chemistry, to recombination and electron attachment studies and, most recently, to gas phase trace gas analysis.

TECTB Variants Reveal Tectorial Membrane Vulnerability in Dominant Non‐Syndromic Hearing Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TECTB is a non‐collagenous protein of the tectorial membrane – an extracellular matrix of the cochlea. This study identifies dominant missense variants in TECTB linked to human hereditary deafness in two unrelated families. Genetically engineered mice homozygous for one of the variants are profoundly deaf, whereas heterozygous mice have normal hearing ...

Programmable Guest‐Induced 5‐Phase‐Transition Topological Reconstructions of Cobalt Formate Metal–Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A reversible five‐phase topological cycle is achieved in a minimalist cobalt formate metal–organic framework. The amorphous phase functions as a programmable reactive hub, selectively reconstructing into four distinct crystalline architectures through cationic templates, humidity, or CO2.

Advances in Breath Analysis-Based Disease Diagnosis Technology and Standardization Requirements

open access: yesZhipu Xuebao
The composition and content of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in exhaled breath are closely related to change in the human physiological state. Some biosignature molecules generated by human metabolism, including disease marker molecules, are expelled

High‐Current‐Density Acidic CO2 Electroreduction to Formic Acid Enabled by Multiscale Microenvironment Regulation Over Defect‐Rich Sn/SnOx

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Acidic CO2 electroreduction to formic acid is enabled by integrating mixed Sn/SnOx nanoclusters, K+‐regulated interfacial solvation, and Janus wettability. Coordinated control of active sites, interfacial water, and gas‐liquid transport suppresses hydrogen evolution and delivers approximately 85% HCOOH Faradaic efficiency at 400 mA cm−2.

Hmotnostní spektrometrie v proudové trubici s vybranými ionty, SIFT-MS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
