Tunable Thermoshrinkable Hydrogels for 4D Fabrication of Cell‐Seeded Channels
A thermoresponsive polymer with methacrylate groups for photo‐cross‐linking, based on polyethylene glycol, N‐isopropylacrylamide, and 2‐hydroxyethyl acrylate is synthetized to yield hydrogels that shrink upon temperature increase. The new polymer enables the fabrication of cell‐laden perfusable channels with diameters below 200 µm by combining ...

Fault-free performance validation of fault-tolerant multiprocessors [PDF]
A validation methodology for testing the performance of fault-tolerant computer systems was developed and applied to the Fault-Tolerant Multiprocessor (FTMP) at NASA-Langley's AIRLAB facility. This methodology was claimed to be general enough to apply to

Efficient Bit Sifting Scheme of Post-processing in Quantum Key Distribution [PDF]
Bit sifting is an important step in the post-processing of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) whose function is to sift out the undetected original keys. The communication traffic of bit sifting has essential impact on the net secure key rate of a practical QKD system, and it is facing unprecedented challenges with the fast increase of the repetition ...

Supercompliant Lattice Boosts n‐type AgSbTe2 Thermoelectrics
The supercompliant lattice design enables the first realization of n‐type electrical transport in AgSbTe2 by overcoming intrinsic electron‐killer defects and exceeding the doping limits imposed by the conventional Hume–Rothery rule. Accordingly, the best performance n‐type Ag0.8Na0.3Sb0.6Bi0.4Te2 sample achieves a low κ of 0.27 W·m−1·K−1 that ...

Exploiting SIFT Descriptor for Rotation Invariant Convolutional Neural Network [PDF]
This paper presents a novel approach to exploit the distinctive invariant features in convolutional neural network. The proposed CNN model uses Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) descriptor instead of the max-pooling layer. Max-pooling layer discards the pose, i.e., translational and rotational relationship between the low-level features, and ...
