SAR Image Registration Using an Improved SAR-SIFT Algorithm and Delaunay-Triangulation-Based Local Matching

IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing, 2019
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image registration is a challenging task in remote sensing because of the presence of significant intensity as well as geometric differences between the images. Moreover, the influence of multiplicative speckle noise in SAR

M-SIFT: a new descriptor based on Legendre moments and SIFT

SPIE Proceedings, 2011
There are many feature descriptors that are insensitive to geometric transformations such as rotation and scale variation. However, most of them cannot effectively deal with blurred image which is a key problem in many real applications. In this paper, we propose a new feature descriptor that combines SIFT descriptor with combined blur, scale and ...

Remote Sensing Image Registration Based on Modified SIFT and Feature Slope Grouping

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2019
In feature-based remote sensing image registration, the scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) algorithm has been one of the most popular solutions. However, it is still a challenge to possess an appropriate amount of correct matches while eliminating ...

FLANN Based Matching with SIFT Descriptors for Drowsy Features Extraction

International Conference on Intelligent Information Processing, 2019
This paper presents an approach for extraction of drowsy features from face. Drowsiness during driving is one of the major issues of road accident. Driver drowsiness can happen due to fatigue resulting from physical or mental exertion, sedating effects ...

Radar Emitter Recognition Based on SIFT Position and Scale Features

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems - II - Express Briefs, 2018
As the complexity of the battlefield electromagnetic environment has increased, it has become challenging to identify radiation sources using traditional radar emitter identification technology in low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) environments.

WLIB-SIFT: A Distinctive Local Image Feature Descriptor

2019 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Information Communication and Signal Processing (ICICSP), 2019
SIFT descriptor plays a great role in image mosaic, image retrieval and target recognition for good invariance of translation, rotation and zoom. However, the disadvantages of SIFT descriptor are its high dimensionality and complex computation.

OBJECT RECOGNITION WITH SIFT AND MI-SIFT METHODS

2015
This study, which has been commonly used in object recognition area for 10 years, is based on the recognition of special point-based objects and there are differences in some areas such as luminance, anguler and resistance from cyclic and dimensional changes.

Better than SIFT?

Machine Vision and Applications, 2015
Independent evaluation of the performance of feature descriptors is an important part of the process of developing better computer vision systems. In this paper, we compare the performance of several state-of-the art image descriptors including several recent binary descriptors.

An improved SIFT descriptor

SPIE Proceedings, 2011
In order to improve the robustness and real time performance of SIFT based image registration algorithms, a new descriptor is proposed. We compute the new descriptor for a log-polar location grid with 3 bins in radial direction (the radius set to 3, 6 and 8) and 12 in angular direction, which results 36 location bins.
