Graphene Nanosheet‐Based Mixed Proton‐Electron Conducting Membranes for Efficient Hydrogen Purification

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A monolayer graphene/phosphoric‐acid mixed proton‐electron conducting membrane combines proton‐conducting nanoconfined acid channels with electron‐conducting graphene nanosheets for efficient high‐temperature hydrogen purification. The membrane achieves nearly 100% H2/CO2 selectivity and 69 GPU hydrogen permeance at 250°C, arising from synergistic ...

Localization and recognition of the scoreboard in sports video based on SIFT point matching [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In broadcast sports video, the scoreboard is attached at a fixed location in the video and generally the scoreboard always exists in all video frames in order to help viewers to understand the match’s progression quickly.

An Evaluation of Popular Copy-Move Forgery Detection Approaches

open access: yes, 2012
A copy-move forgery is created by copying and pasting content within the same image, and potentially post-processing it. In recent years, the detection of copy-move forgeries has become one of the most actively researched topics in blind image forensics.

Microfluidic Modeling of Macrophage‐Induced Cardiac Inflammation Using NF‐κB Reporter Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A cardiac inflammation model was developed to enable real‐time analysis of macrophage‐cardiomyocyte interactions using NF‐κB‐reporter cardiomyocytes and a microfluidic co‐culture system. A MATLAB‐based model was implemented to optimize cell density and medium resupply based on TNFα diffusion kinetics. Activation thresholds and stress responses in NF‐κB‐

Ti6Al4V‐Bioglass‐Copper Composites for Load‐Bearing Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We have designed and manufactured a novel Ti64‐based composite by adding 45S5 bioglass (BG) and copper (Cu). Adding BG on titanium improves wear resistance and biocompatibility, whereas Cu addition improves mechanical strength while providing inherent lifelong bacterial resistance.

A Modular Bioinstructive Platform Reveals Mechanistic Insights into Additive‐Free, Topography‐Driven Osteogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered microparticle topographies direct human mesenchymal stem cell osteogenesis without biochemical additives. This osteogenic commitment is driven by canonical Hedgehog signaling and followed by temporal IGF‐II engagement. Two‐photon polymerization demonstrates spatial control, enabling the engineering of topographical gradients that pattern ...

Fast depth extraction from a single image

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems, 2016
Predicting depth from a single image is an important problem for understanding the 3-D geometry of a scene. Recently, the nonparametric depth sampling (DepthTransfer) has shown great potential in solving this problem, and its two key components are a ...

Rapid Mosaicking of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Images for Crop Growth Monitoring Using the SIFT Algorithm

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
To improve the efficiency and effectiveness of mosaicking unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) images, we propose in this paper a rapid mosaicking method based on scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) for mosaicking UAV images used for crop growth monitoring.

A SIFT approach for analysing failure by delamination and disbonding in composite structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
A strain invariant failure theory (SIFT) has been developed to predict resin failure in damaged and pristine composite structures The finite element (FE) analysis in this work uses shell elements consistent with common practice in the aeronautical ...
