An Image Matching Method Based on SIFT Feature

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012
Aiming at problems about repeat matching and wrong matching appeared when traditional SIFT algorithm was used in image matching, an image matching method based on SIFT feature was put forward. Firstly, SIFT features were extracted by traditional SIFT algorithm and candidate matching point pairs were obtained by the nearest neighbor rule.

A Novel Iterative SIFT Points Matching Method

Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing, 2014
This work focuses on feature point matching problem based on local descriptor scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT). Feature point matching is a fundamental problem in image analysis and computer vision, and SIFT is one of the most typical local descriptors.

TOP-SIFT: A New Method for SIFT Descriptor Selection

2015 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia Big Data, 2015
The large amount of SIFT descriptors in an image and the high dimensionality of SIFT descriptor has made problems for large-scale image dataset in terms of speed and scalability. In this paper, we propose a descriptor selection algorithm via dictionary learning and only a small set of features are reserved, which we refer to as TOP-SIFT.

SiFT: An efficient method for Trajectory Based Forwarding

2005 2nd International Symposium on Wireless Communication Systems, 2005
Trajectory based forwarding (TBF) is a new approach for routing in ad hoc wireless networks. It assumes that nodes know their position and, similarly to source routing, requires the source node to encode a trajectory into the packet header. However, trajectories are just geometrical lines and the routing process does not require specifying forwarding ...

Method of item recognition based on SIFT and SURF

Mathematical Structures in Computer Science, 2014
Item recognition has become a hotspot in the field of computer vision research. SIFT has the advantage of requiring a low amount of information, a fast running speed and high precision, but it requires large data calculations and thus takes a long time to perform the item recognition.

A SIFT-SVM method for detecting cars in UAV images

2012 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2012
In the last years, the advent of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for civilian remote sensing purposes has generated a lot of interest because of the various new applications they can offer. One of them is represented by the automatic detection and counting of cars. In this paper, we propose a novel car detection method.

A Description Method for MSER with SIFT Descriptor

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
Maximally Stable Extremal Regions are robust to complex affine distortion and illumination changes between reference image and real-time image. On the basis of deeply research on the SIFT descriptor, this paper propose a description algorithm for MSER using SIFT descriptor.

A sift-based method for image mosaic

2010 3rd International Conference on Advanced Computer Theory and Engineering(ICACTE), 2010
This paper proposes a mosaic algorithm based on SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Trasform). Keypoints and their descriptors are exacted by SIFT, which ensures the algorithm robust to translation, rotation, noise and scalling. Then proposed matching algorithm is used to match the keypoints. First, rough match pairs are obtained by Nearest Neighbor algorithm.
