M-SIFT: A new method for Vehicle Logo Recognition
2012 IEEE International Conference on Vehicular Electronics and Safety (ICVES 2012), 2012In this paper, a new algorithm for Vehicle Logo Recognition is proposed, on the basis of an enhanced Scale Invariant Feature Transform (Merge-SIFT or M-SIFT). The algorithm is assessed on a set of 1500 logo images that belong to 10 distinctive vehicle manufacturers.

Area Harmony Dominating Rectification Method for SIFT Image Matching
2007 8th International Conference on Electronic Measurement and Instruments, 2007This paper presents a method of verifying matching key-point couples extracted by SIFT algorithm from two relative images. This method defines dependability of matching couples with local area features which express the harmony of the tested couple with nearest matching couples.

Leaf Classification Methods Based on SVM and SIFT
2013In this research, Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) are used to identify plants. For each leaf image, the algorithm localizes the keypoints and assigns orientations for each keypoint. Then it matches the sample leaves with the comparison leaves to find out whether they belong to the same category.
