Quantization of the Algebra of Chord Diagrams
In this paper we define an algebra structure on the vector space $L(\Sigma)$ generated by links in the manifold $\Sigma \times [0,1]$ where $\Sigma $ is an oriented surface. This algebra has a filtration and the associated graded algebra $L_{Gr}(\Sigma)$

Fixed points subgroups $G^{σ,σ'}$ by two involutive automorphisms $σ$, $σ'$ of exceptional compact Lie group $G$, Part II, $G = E_8$ [PDF]
For the simply connected compact exceptional Lie group $E_8$, we determine the structure of subgroup $(E_8)^{\sigma, \sigma'}$ of $E_8$ which is the intersection $(E_8)^\sigma \cap (E_8)^{\sigma'}$. Then the space $E_8/(E_8)^{\sigma, \sigma'}$ is the exceptional $\mathbb{Z}_2 \times \mathbb{Z}_2$- symmetric space of type EVIII-VIII-VIII, and that we ...

On $σ$-classes of modules with applications [PDF]
In this paper we introduce some lattices of classes of left R-module relative to a preradical sigma. These lattices are generalizations of the lattices R-TORS, R-tors, R-nat, R-conat, of torsion theories, hereditary torsion theories, natural classes and conatural classes, respectively.

$σ$-Derivations in Banach Algebras [PDF]
Introducing the notions of (inner) $\sigma$-derivation, (inner) $\sigma$-endomorphism and one-parameter group of $\sigma$-endomorphisms ($\sigma$-dynamics) on a Banach algebra, we correspond to each $\sigma$-dynamics a $\sigma$-derivation named as its $\sigma$-infinitesimal generator.

Bifunctional enzymes created by the fusion of a glucuronan lyase (TrGL) and a chitinase (ThCHIT42) from Trichoderma sp. have been constructed with the aim to validate a proof of concept regarding the potential of the chimera lyase/hydrolase by analyzing ...

Symplectic forms on the space of embedded symplectic surfaces and their reductions [PDF]
Let (M,\omega) be a symplectic manifold, and (\Sigma,\sigma) a closed connected symplectic 2-manifold. We construct a weakly symplectic form {\omega^{D}}_{(\Sigma, \sigma)} on the space of immersions \Sigma \to M that is a special case of Donaldson's form.

We consider a piecewise smooth system in the neighborhood of a co-dimension 2 discontinuity manifold $\Sigma$. Within the class of Filippov solutions, if $\Sigma$ is attractive, one should expect solution trajectories to slide on $\Sigma$.

Generalised Hecke algebras and C^*-completions [PDF]
For a Hecke pair $(G, H)$ and a finite-dimensional representation $\sigma$ of $H$ on $V_\sigma$ with finite range we consider a generalised Hecke algebra $\H_\sigma(G, H)$, which we study by embedding the given Hecke pair in a Schlichting completion $(G_\sigma, H_\sigma)$ that comes equipped with a continuous extension $\sigma$ of $H_\sigma$.

Distances between surfaces in 4-manifolds [PDF]
If $\Sigma$ and $\Sigma'$ are homotopic embedded surfaces in a $4$-manifold then they may be related by a regular homotopy (at the expense of introducing double points) or by a sequence of stabilisations and destabilisations (at the expense of adding genus). This naturally gives rise to two integer-valued notions of distance between the embeddings: the
