Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

Towards higher super-$\sigma$-model categories

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2023
A simplicial framework for the gerbe-theoretic modelling of supercharged-loop dynamics in the presence of worldsheet defects is discussed whose equivariantisation with respect to global supersymmetries of the bulk theory and subsequent orbit ...

Self-dual supersymmetric nonlinear sigma models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In four-dimensional N=1 Minkowski superspace, general nonlinear sigma models with four-dimensional target spaces may be realised in term of CCL (chiral and complex linear) dynamical variables which consist of a chiral scalar, a complex linear scalar and ...

On the classical equivalence of monodromy matrices in squashed sigma model [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2012
We proceed to study the hybrid integrable structure in two-dimensional non-linear sigma models with target space three-dimensional squashed spheres. A quantum affine algebra and a pair of Yangian algebras are realized in the sigma models and, according ...

Noncommutative linear sigma models [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2001
We examine noncommutative linear sigma models with U(N) global symmetry groups at the one-loop quantum level, and contrast the results with our previous study of the noncommutative O(N) linear sigma models where we have shown that Nambu-Goldstone symmetry realization is inconsistent with continuum renormalization.

Spot‐14 and its paralog Spot‐14R regulate expression of metabolic and thermogenic pathway genes in murine brown and beige adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Spot‐14 and Spot‐14R play distinct roles in regulating metabolism in brown and beige adipocytes. While both influence lipid and glucose pathways, Spot‐14 uniquely controls thermogenic gene expression. This dual regulation balances energy storage and heat production, highlighting potential therapeutic targets for obesity and metabolic disorders. Spot 14

Testing dark energy models in the light of $$\sigma _8$$ σ8 tension

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
It has been pointed out that there exists a tension in $$\sigma _8-\varOmega _m$$ σ8-Ωm measurement between CMB and LSS observation. In this paper we show that $$\sigma _8-\varOmega _m$$ σ8-Ωm observations can be used to test the dark energy theories. We

Meson Vacuum Phenomenology in a Three-flavor Linear Sigma Model with (Axial-)Vector Mesons: Investigation of the U$(1)_A$ Anomaly Term [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Zero temperature properties of an (axial-) vector meson extended linear sigma model are discussed, concerning on the possible different realizations of the axial anomaly term. The different anomaly terms are compared with each other on the basis of a chi^

A cellular system to study responses to a collision between the transcription complex and a protein‐bound nick in the DNA template

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present the cellular transcription‐coupled Flp‐nick system allowing the introduction of a Top1‐mimicking cleavage complex (Flpcc) at a Flp recognition target site within a controllable LacZ gene. LacZ transcription leads to the collision of RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) with Flpcc, and this causes RNAPII stalling, ubiquitination, and degradation.

Topological Chern-Simons Sigma Model

open access: yes, 2009
We consider topological twisting of recently constructed Chern-Simons-matter theories in three dimensions with N=4 or higher supersymmetry. We enumerate physically inequivalent twistings for each N, and find two different twistings for N=4, one for N=5,6,
