Mass Spectrum of Noncharmed and Charmed Meson States in Extended Linear-Sigma Model
The mass spectrum of different meson particles is generated using an effective Lagrangian of the extended linear-sigma model (eLSM) for scalar and pseudoscalar meson fields and quark flavors, up, down, strange, and charm.

Bethe Ansatz in Stringy Sigma Models
We compute the exact S-matrix and give the Bethe ansatz solution for three sigma-models which arise as subsectors of string theory in AdS(5)xS(5): Landau-Lifshitz model (non-relativistic sigma-model on S(2)), Alday-Arutyunov-Frolov model (fermionic sigma-

Remarks on the f_0(400-1200) scalar meson as the dynamically generated chiral partner of the pion [PDF]
The quark-level linear sigma model is revisited, in particular concerning the identification of the f_0(400-1200) (or \sigma(600)) scalar meson as the chiral partner of the pion.

Boundary conditions and the generalized metric formulation of the double sigma model
Double sigma model with strong constraints is equivalent to the ordinary sigma model by imposing a self-duality relation. The gauge symmetries are the diffeomorphism and one-form gauge transformation with the strong constraints.

A model for sigma factor competition in bacterial cells. [PDF]
Sigma factors control global switches of the genetic expression program in bacteria. Different sigma factors compete for binding to a limited pool of RNA polymerase (RNAP) core enzymes, providing a mechanism for cross-talk between genes or gene classes ...

Variation of hadron masses in nuclear matter in the relativistic Hartree approximation
We study the modification of hadron masses due to the vacuum polarization using the chiral sigma model, which is extended to generate the $\omega$ meson mass by the sigma condensation in the vacuum in the same way as the nucleon mass.

Note on off-shell relations in nonlinear sigma model [PDF]
A bstractIn this note, we investigate relations between tree-level off-shell currents in nonlinear sigma model. Under Cayley parametrization, all odd-point currents vanish. We propose and prove a generalized U(1) identity for even-point currents. The off-

We obtain the invariants of Witten's topologicalĪ-model by gauge fixing a topological action and using BRST symmetry. The fields and the BRST formalism are interpreted geometrically.

On classicalization in nonlinear sigma models [PDF]
We consider the phenomenon of classicalization in nonlinear sigma models with both positive and negative target space curvature and with any number of derivatives. We find that the theories with only two derivatives exhibit a weak form of classicalization, and that the quantitative results depend on the sign of the curvature.

New class of solutions in the non-minimal O(3)-sigma model
For the study of topological vortices with non-minimal coupling, we built a kind of non-canonical O(3)-sigma model, with a Maxwell term modified by a dielectric function.
