Nuclear effects on R = sigma(L)/sigma(T) in deep-inelastic scattering

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2000
Cross section ratios for deep-inelastic scattering from 14N and 3He with respect to 2H have been measured by the HERMES experiment at DESY using a 27.5 GeV positron beam. The data cover a range in the Bjorken scaling variable x between 0.013 and 0.65, while the negative squared four-momentum transfer Q2 varies from 0.5 to 15 GeV2. The data are compared

Interval oscillation of second-order Emden-Fowler neutral delay differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2007
Employing Riccati techniques and the integral averaging method, we establish interval oscillation criteria for the second-order Emden-Fowler neutral delay differential equation $$ [|x'(t)|^{gamma-1}x'(t)]'+q_1(t)|y(t-sigma)|^{alpha-1}y(t-sigma) +q_2(t)|

Generalized and modified orders of growth for Dirichlet series absolutely convergent in a half-plane

open access: yesМатематичні Студії
Let $\lambda=(\lambda_n)_{n\in\mathbb{N}_0}$ be a non-negative sequence increasing to $+\infty$, $\tau(\lambda)=\varlimsup_{n\to\infty}(\ln n/\lambda_n)$, and $\mathcal{D}_0(\lambda) $ be the class of all Dirichlet series of the form $F(s)=\sum_{n=0 ...

4d mirror-like dualities

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We construct a family of 4d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 1 theories that we call E ρ σ $$ {E}_{\rho}^{\sigma } $$ [USp(2N)] which exhibit a novel type of 4d IR duality very reminiscent of the mirror duality enjoyed by the 3d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 T ρ σ $$ {T ...

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

ON RENORMALIZATION OF POISSON–LIE T-PLURAL SIGMA MODELS

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2013
Covariance of the one-loop renormalization group equations with respect to Poisson–Lie T-plurality of sigma models is discussed. The role of ambiguities in renormalization group equations of Poisson–Lie sigma models with truncated matrices of parameters is investigated.

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

Renormalisability of non-homogeneous T-dualised sigma-models

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2002
The quantum equivalence between sigma-models and their non-abelian T-dualised partners is examined for a large class of four dimensional non-homogeneous and quasi-Einstein metrics with an isometry group SU(2) times U(1). We prove that the one-loop renormalisability of the initial torsionless sigma-models is equivalent to the one-loop renormalisability ...

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.
