Boundedness and stabilization in a quasilinear chemotaxis model with nonlocal growth term and indirect signal production

open access: yesCommunications in Analysis and Mechanics
In this paper, we study the following fully parabolic chemotaxis system with nonlocal growth and indirect signal production: \begin{document}$ \begin{equation*} \left\{ \begin{array}{@{}l@{\quad}l} u_{t} = \nabla\cdot( D(u)\nabla u)-\nabla\cdot(u ...

Model companions of theories with an automorphism

open access: yes, 1998
For a theory $T$ in $L, T_\sigma$ is the theory of the models of $T$ with an automorphism $\sigma$. If $T$ is an unstable model complete theory without the independence property, then $T_\sigma$ has no model companion.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

T-Duality with H-Flux for 2d $$\sigma $$-Models

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics
In this paper, we establish graded T-duality for $2d$ $\sigma$-models with $H$-flux after localization. This establishes the most general version of T-duality for Type II String Theory. The graded T-duality map, which we call {\bf graded Hori morphism}, is compatible with the Jacobi property of the graded fields, that was earlier studied in \cite{HM21}.

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.

T-Duality and $T \overline{T}$-like Deformations of Sigma Models

open access: yes
We initiate the study of the interplay between T-duality and classical stress tensor deformations in two-dimensional sigma models. We first show that a general Abelian T-duality commutes with the $T \overline{T}$ deformation, which can be engineered by a gravitational dressing. Then, by using an auxiliary field formulation of stress tensor deformations

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Single lepton charge asymmetries in $$t {\bar{t}}$$ tt¯ and $$t {\bar{t}} \gamma $$ tt¯γ production at the LHC

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2018
We discuss lepton charge asymmetries in $$t {\bar{t}}$$ tt¯ and $$t {\bar{t}} \gamma $$ tt¯γ production at the LHC, which can be measured in the semileptonic decay channel $$t {\bar{t}} \rightarrow W^+ b \, W^- {\bar{b}} \rightarrow \ell ^+ \nu b \, q ...

Density and localization of resonances for convex co-compact hyperbolic surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Let $X$ be a convex co-compact hyperbolic surface and let $\delta$ be the Hausdorff dimension of the limit set of the underlying discrete group. We show that the density of the resonances of the Laplacian in strips ${\sigma\leq \re(s) \leq \delta}$ with $

Adaptaquin is selectively toxic to glioma stem cells through disruption of iron and cholesterol metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.
