The Existence of Solutions for Boundary Value Problem of Fractional Functional Differential Equations with Delay

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
A class of boundary value problem for fractional functional differential equation with delay C D σ ω ( t ) = f ( t , ω t ) , t ∈ [ 0 , ζ ] , ω ( 0 ) = 0 , ω ′ ( 0 ) = 0 , ω ″ ( ζ ) = 1 , $ \left ...

A characterization of two weight norm inequality for Littlewood-Paley $g_{\lambda}^{*}$-function

open access: yes, 2017
Let $n\ge 2$ and $g_{\lambda}^{*}$ be the well-known high dimensional Littlewood-Paley function which was defined and studied by E. M. Stein, \begin{align*} g_{\lambda}^{*}(f)(x) =\bigg(\iint_{\mathbb R^{n+1}_{+}} \Big(\frac{t}{t+|x-y|}\Big)^{n\lambda} |\

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Fixed points for some non-obviously contractive operators defined in a space of continuous functions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2004
Let $X$ be an arbitrary (real or complex) Banach space, endowed with the norm $\left| \cdot \right| .$ Consider the space of the continuous functions $C\left( \left[ 0,T\right] ,X\right) $ $\left( T>0\right) $, endowed with the usual topology, and let $M$

Psychedelic N,N-Dimethyltryptamine and 5-Methoxy-N,N-Dimethyltryptamine Modulate Innate and Adaptive Inflammatory Responses through the Sigma-1 Receptor of Human Monocyte-Derived Dendritic Cells

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
The orphan receptor sigma-1 (sigmar-1) is a transmembrane chaperone protein expressed in both the central nervous system and in immune cells. It has been shown to regulate neuronal differentiation and cell survival, and mediates anti-inflammatory ...

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

T-duality in gauged linear sigma-models with torsion [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2013
Abstract (0,2) gauged linear sigma models with torsion, corresponding to principal torus bundles over warped CY bases, provide a useful framework for getting exact statements about perturbative dualities in the presence of fluxes. In this context we first study dualities mapping the torus fiber onto itself, implying the existence ...

Lyapunov inequalities for a class of nonlinear dynamic systems on time scales

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
The purpose of this work is to obtain several Lyapunov inequalities for the nonlinear dynamic systems { x Δ ( t ) = − A ( t ) x ( σ ( t ) ) − B ( t ) y ( t ) | B ( t ) y ( t ) | p − 2 , y Δ ( t ) = C ( t ) x ( σ ( t ) ) | x ( σ ( t ) ) | q − 2 + A T ( t )

Sigma-1 Receptor Chaperone at the ER-Mitochondrion Interface Mediates the Mitochondrion-ER-Nucleus Signaling for Cellular Survival

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
The membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) of a cell forms contacts directly with mitochondria whereby the contact is referred to as the mitochondrion-associated ER membrane or the MAM.

Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell
