Anagrammatic structures in the semiotic aspect
This article considers the functional features and deep cognitive foundations of ana¬grammatic structures in verbal texts. The traditional perspective on the phenomenon is defined as a general sign-based one: anagrammatic structures are examined in music

On the Fundamentality of Meaning [PDF]
The mainstream view of meaning is that it is emergent, not fundamental, but some have disputed this, asserting that there is a more fundamental level of reality than that addressed by current physical theories, and that matter and meaning are in some way

On‐Chip Active Non‐Reciprocal Topological Photonics
An ultra‐compact and efficient on‐chip isolator is experimentally demonstrated by integrating magneto‐optical InSb onto a terahertz silicon topological chip. The simultaneous breaking of spatial and temporal reversal symmetries forms a valley‐conserved non‐reciprocal waveguide mode, enabling a compact cavity size of 6.4 × 2.5λ2 and a low insertion loss

Signaletic, haptic and real-time material
This introductory article to the following “cluster of articles” proposes to apply the term “signal” as a theoretical and analytical category for a new approach to the bearings of electronic and new media in particular. As the

Building Conceptual Understandings of Equivalence [PDF]
The equal sign is prevalent at all levels of mathematics however many students misunderstand the meaning of the equal sign and consider it an operational symbol for the completion of an algorithm (Baroody & Ginsburg, 1983; Rittle-Johnson & Alibali, 1999).

Emergent Locomotion in Self‐Sustained, Mechanically Connected Soft Matter Rings
Thermally fueled, self‐moving twisted rings made from liquid crystal elastomers are investigated. By studying single rings and linked knots, it is shown how autonomous locomotion emerges through coupling between the rings. The movement is programmable via handedness control at connection points, offering insights into collective behavior and ...

Potentials in Udeskole: Inquiry-Based Teaching Outside the Classroom
Most research on outdoor education, including the Scandinavian concept udeskole (regular curriculum-based teaching outside the classroom), has focused on pupils' outcomes, whereas less has focused on teachers' practices. In this article, we described the

Representations of Inverse Functions by the Integral Transform with the Sign Kernel [PDF]
Mathematics Subject Classification: Primary 30C40In this paper we give practical and numerical representations of inverse functions by using the integral transform with the sign kernel, and show corresponding numerical experiments by using computers.

Cohomologies on almost complex manifolds and the $\partial \bar{\partial}$-lemma
We study cohomologies on an almost complex manifold $(M, J)$, defined using the Nijenhuis-Lie derivations $\mathcal{L}_J$ and $\mathcal{L}_N$ induced from the almost complex structure $J$ and its Nijenhuis tensor $N$, regarded as vector-valued forms on ...
