Transformer‐Based Fusion for Joint Routing and Resource Allocation in the Internet of Things

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
In this work, we investigate decentralized joint routing and resource allocation for high‐quality path establishment at the network layer of the Internet of Things (IoT). We propose a novel optimization framework based on Transformer‐based Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL), which enables the fusion of observations and actions along communication paths.

Analysis of interference effect in VL‐NOMA network considering signal power parameters performance

open access: yesIET Communications
This study analyses the interference effect in a visible light‐non‐orthogonal multiple access (VL‐NOMA) network that considers the signal power parameters performance for near and far users.

Random Matrix Theory Predictions of Dominant Mode Rejection SINR Loss due to Signal in the Training Data

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Signal Processing
Detection and estimation performance depends on signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) at the output of an array. The Capon beamformer (BF) designed with ensemble statistics achieves the optimum SINR in stationary environments.

SVD-Based Technique for Interference Cancellation and Noise Reduction in NMR Measurement of Time-Dependent Magnetic Fields

open access: yesSensors, 2016
A nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiment for measurement of time-dependent magnetic fields was introduced. To improve the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) of NMR data, a new method for interference cancellation and noise reduction ...

Signal design based on post‐detection SINR for MIMO radar in the presence of signal‐dependent interference

open access: yesIET Radar, Sonar & Navigation, 2022
In this study, the target detection and signal design problems in the presence of signal‐dependent interference for a colocated multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) radar employing a space‐(slow) time transmit signal are addressed.

Mobility Management for the Low‐Altitude Economy: Latency‐Aware Handover Design

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper develops a latency‐aware mobility‐management framework for aerial vehicles operating in hybrid terrestrial non‐terrestrial networks. We formulate a MILP for optimal AV AP association and propose a greedy handover policy using predicted coverage, rate and handover latency.

High Performance Robust Adaptive Beamforming in the Presence of Array Imperfections

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2016
A high performance robust beamforming scheme is proposed to combat model mismatch. Our method lies in the novel construction of interference-plus-noise (IPN) covariance matrix. The IPN covariance matrix consists of two parts.

Closed‐Form Approximation of Average Error Probability With Finite‐Blocklength Coding Over Lognormal Wireless Communication Links

open access: yesIET Communications, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This work extends the Polyanskiy‐Poor‐Verdu (PPV) framework to lognormal wireless links. Specifically, the paper derives a closed‐form approximation for the average error probability under lognormal distribution, effectively generalizing the PPV analysis beyond the additive white Gaussian noise assumption.

An efficient method to measure reliability of underwater acoustic communication links

open access: yesJournal of Ocean Engineering and Science, 2016
We consider the problem of evaluating the reliability of underwater acoustic communication (UWAC) systems. Reliability is a requirement for any communication system and is often defined as the probability to achieve a target bit error rate. Evaluation of
