Performance Investigation of Channel Noise Effect in Data Transmission Medium Using Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR)

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, 2018
<p>The noise introduced in the channel obviously affects the bit error rate of the communication system and this has direct impact in the security. Here the main problem is that the receiver terminal decoding techniques can lead to wrong interpretation even if the Bit Error Rate (BER) is acceptable.

Real‐Time In Vivo Cellular‐Level Imaging During Puncture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present an artificial‐intelligence‐empowered integrative‐light‐field microendoscopy (AIM) needle that delivers real‐time in vivo, diffraction‐limited cellular‐level imaging during puncture and visualizes layered microstructures along the needle path. As a microscopic complement to CT/ultrasound, it improves sampling localization and adds preliminary

Systematic Benchmarking of a Noise‐Tolerant Conductive Hydrogel Electrode for Epidermal Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
General schematic of the approach. Abstract Conventional Silver/Silver Chloride (Ag/AgCl) electrodes remain the clinical standard for electrophysiological monitoring but are hindered by poor skin conformity, mechanical rigidity, and signal degradation, particularly under motion or sweat.

Aircraft Position Estimation Using Deep Convolutional Neural Networks for Low SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio) Values

open access: yesSensors
The safety of the airspace could be improved by the use of visual methods for the detection and tracking of aircraft. However, in the case of the small angular size of airplanes and the high noise level in the image, sufficient use of such methods might be difficult.

All‐Hydrogel‐Based Organic Electrochemical Transistors for Implantable Physiological Signal Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
All‐hydrogel based n‐type depletion‐mode OECTs is developed using a semiconductor hydrogel formed via ionic‐liquid‐mediated phase separation, combining efficient ion‐electron transport, tissue‐like softness, and long‐term biocompatibility. The device can monitor EOG and ECG on human skin and record real‐time ECG subcutaneously in rats, providing a ...

High-Accuracy Radar Parameter Estimation Under Low SNR Environments

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper proposes a high-accuracy radar parameter estimation method for extremely low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) environments, integrating deep learning and connected component analysis (CCA). Accurate estimation of parameters such as time of arrival,

Transparent Transfer‐Free Ultrasmall Multilayer Graphene Microelectrodes Enable High Quality Recordings in Brain Slices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A transfer‐free fabrication method enables multilayer graphene microelectrodes as small as 10 µm, eliminating reliability issues of manual graphene transfer. These electrodes record neural activity in brain slices with exceptional signal‐to‐noise ratios (up to 25–40 dB) while maintaining optical transparency for multimodal applications.

Periodic variations in the signal-to-noise ratios of signals received from the ICE spacecraft [PDF]

open access: yes
Data from the ICE probe to comet Giacobini-Zinner are analyzed to determine the effects of spacecraft rotation upon the signal to noise ratio (SNR) for the two channels of data.

Real‐Time High‐Definition Hyperspectral Endoscopy via Spatial‐Temporal Low‐Frequency‐Stochastic Spectral Encoding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A real‐time, high‐definition hyperspectral endoscopy is enabled by developing a spatial‐temporal spectral encoding approach based on low‐frequency stochastic filters combined with an encoding‐guided attention network. It provides hyperspectral image of in vivo tissue with fine superficial features, enables visualization of rapid and subtle ...
