Integrating Radiomics and Computational Pathology to Predict Early Recurrence of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma and Uncover Its Biological Basis in Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Accurate prediction of early recurrence in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma is vital for optimizing treatment. A novel, integrated radiomics‐pathology machine learning model successfully forecasts recurrence risks by analyzing preoperative CT images and computational pathology.

Signal denoising through modular topography

open access: yes, 2021
To navigate in a dynamic and noisy environment, the brain must create reliable and meaningful representations from sensory inputs that are often ambiguous, incomplete or corrupt. From these noisy inputs, cortical circuits extract the relevant features to forge a ground truth against which internally generated signals from inferential processes can be ...

Stable Diffusion Models Reveal a Persisting Human–AI Gap in Visual Creativity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study examines visual creativity in humans and generative AI using the TCIA framework. Human artists outperform AI overall, yet structured human guidance substantially improves AI outputs and evaluations. Findings reveal that alignment with human creativity depends critically on contextual framing, highlighting both the promise and current ...

DC‐magnetometry Analytical Tool Driven by Spin Ordering Phenomena for Sensing Chemical Interactions at the Surface of Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The adsorption of AsV on akaganeite nanorods was found to provide a magnetic signature. A change in the surface spin order gave rise to a second peak in the zero‐field cooled curve. AsIII adsorption does not provide any change in the magnetic behavior of the sorbent.
