Mapping Nanoscale Buckling in Atomically Thin Cr2Ge2Te6
Atomic‐resolution STEM is used to resolve nanoscale buckling in monolayer Cr2Ge2Te₆. A noise‐robust image analysis reconstructs three‐dimensional lattice distortions from single plan‐view images, revealing pronounced defect‐driven nm‐scale out‐of‐plane buckling.

Effectiveness of Wavelet Denoising on Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry Signals
Wavelet theory has already achieved huge success. For Secondary Ions Mass Spectrometry (SIMS) signals, denoising the secondary signal, which is altered by the measurement, is considered that an essential step prior to applying such a signal processing ...

Mixture-model-based signal denoising [PDF]
This paper proposes a new signal denoising methodology for dealing with asymmetrical noises. The adopted strategy is based on a regression model where the noise is supposed to be additive and distributed following a mixture of Gaussian densities. The parameters estimation is performed using a Generalized EM (GEM) algorithm.

DNCNet: Deep Radar Signal Denoising and Recognition
Deep learning with its rapid development and advancement has achieved unparalleled performance in many areas like computer vision as well as cognitive radio and signal recognition. However, the performance of most deep neural networks would suffer from degradation in the data mismatch scenario, e.g., the test dataset has a related but nonidentical ...

We present a fully automated Bayesian optimization (BO) protocol for the parameterization of nonbonded interactions in coarse‐grain CG force fields (BACH). Using experimental thermophysical data, we apply the protocol to a broad range of liquids, spanning linear, branched, and unsaturated hydrocarbons, esters, triglycerides, and water.

Gold bipyramids can act as efficient plasmonic nanoheaters, but they often reshape during laser heating. This study shows that oxygen nanobubbles drive oxidative etching and that surface ligands control stability. CTAB‐ and citrate‐coated particles blunt and lose optical performance, whereas polystyrene sulfonate preserves shape and heating by ...

Weakly-supervised Dictionary Learning
We present a probabilistic modeling and inference framework for discriminative analysis dictionary learning under a weak supervision setting. Dictionary learning approaches have been widely used for tasks such as low-level signal denoising and ...

Denoising method of heart sound signals based on self-construct heart sound wavelet
In the field of heart sound signal denoising, the wavelet transform has become one of the most effective measures. The selective wavelet basis is based on the well-known orthogonal db series or biorthogonal bior series wavelet. In this paper we present a
