Signal Quality Assessment of Compressively Sensed Electrocardiogram
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 2022Develop a signal quality index (SQI) to determine the quality of compressively sensed electrocardiogram (ECG) by estimating the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).The SQI used random forests, with the ratio of the standard deviations of an ECG segment and a clean ECG and the Wasserstein metric between the amplitude distributions of an ECG segment and a clean ...

Signal quality assessment of peripheral venous pressure
Journal of Clinical Monitoring and Computing, 2023Develop a signal quality index (SQI) for the widely available peripheral venous pressure waveform (PVP). We focus on the quality of the cardiac component in PVP. We model PVP by the adaptive non-harmonic model. When the cardiac component in PVP is stronger, the PVP is defined to have a higher quality.

Morphological Event Based Signal Quality Assessment of Electrocardiogram
2022 44th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBC), 2022ECG signals acquired from mobile devices by unskilled users are corrupted with several noises. Poor signal quality may result in an increased number of false alarms, degrading diagnostic performance, and increasing the burden on the doctors in decoding the information for further clinical intervention.

Speech quality assessment using EEG signals
2016 IEEE International Conference on the Science of Electrical Engineering (ICSEE), 2016The listener experience in modern audio communication systems acts as a key indicator for the entire system quality. Consequently, speech quality assessment attracts great interest from both industry and academia. Common methods for speech quality assessment are either subjective or based on subjective experiments and therefore limited in their ability

Assessment of ECG Signal Quality
2019Background: Standard clinical parameter for monitoring and diagnosis of cardiovascular function is the electrocardiogram (ECG). It is an electrical activity of a heart generated by the cardiac muscle, measured using lead configuration placed on the body.

An Overview of Signal Quality Indices on Dynamic ECG Signal Quality Assessment
2020With the rapid development of wearable ECG medical devices, it is an imperious demand to evaluate the quality of dynamic ECG signals. Thus, a lot of signal quality indices (SQIs) have been proposed in the past few years. In this chapter, we review the analysis performances of SQIs from time-domain, frequency-domain, joint time-frequency, self ...

Automated signal quality assessment of mobile phone-recorded heart sound signals
Journal of Medical Engineering & Technology, 2016Mobile phones, due to their audio processing capabilities, have the potential to facilitate the diagnosis of heart disease through automated auscultation. However, such a platform is likely to be used by non-experts, and hence, it is essential that such a device is able to automatically differentiate poor quality from diagnostically useful recordings ...

Quality Assessment of Galileo E1A Signal
2019The E1A signal of Galileo system provides high-precision location information service for authorized users. The confidentiality of codes and the auto-correlation multi-peaks of high-order Binary Offset Carrier lead to the lack of relevant research on the quality assessment of E1A signal in the real environment.

On the quality assessment of sound signals
2008 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2008This paper constitutes an introduction to the field of quality evaluation of sound (speech and audio) signals. The need for such an assessment is inherent to modern communications: VoIP, mobile phone, or teleconference systems require meaningful measures of performance, which may ultimately assure good service or profitable business.

Assessing CBOC Signal Quality Using Scatterplot
2012The Interplex modulation is particularly suitable for satellite navigation system. But the constant envelope of the signal will be destroyed by the limited bandwidth of navigation system, then the signal with in-constant envelope will be distorted by the non-linearity of HPA and filtering of post HPA filter, in the end introducing range error.
