Consistent Sampling and Signal Recovery [PDF]
An attractive formulation of the sampling problem is based on the principle of a consistent signal reconstruction. The requirement is that the reconstructed signal is indistinguishable from the input in the sense that it yields the exact same measurements. Such a system can be interpreted as an oblique projection onto a given reconstruction space.

Sparse Sampling of Signal Innovations [PDF]
Sparse sampling of continuous-time sparse signals is addressed. In particular, it is shown that sampling at the rate of innovation is possible, in some sense applying Occam's razor to the sampling of sparse signals. The noisy case is analyzed and solved, proposing methods reaching the optimal performance given by the Cramer-Rao bounds.

On modelling and description of the output signal of a sampling device [PDF]
The problem of an inconsistent description of an “interface” between the A/D converter and the digital signal processor that implements, for example, a digital filtering (described by a difference equation) – when a sequence of some hypothetical weighted

The Problem of Aliasing and Folding Effects in Spectrum of Sampled Signals in View of Information Theory [PDF]
In this paper, the problem of aliasing and folding effects in spectrum of sampled signals in view of Information Theory is discussed. To this end, the information content of deterministic continuous time signals, which are continuous functions, is ...

Definition of Sampled Signal Spectrum and Shannon’s Proof of Reconstruction Formula [PDF]
The objective of this paper is to show from another perspective that the definition of the spectrum of a sampled signal, which is used at present by researchers and engineers, is nothing else than an arbitrary choice for what is possibly not uniquely ...

Period and signal reconstruction from the curve of trains of samples
A finite sequence of equidistant samples (a sample‐train) of a periodic signal can be identified with a point in a multidimensional space. Such a point depends on the signal, the sampling period, and the starting time of the sequence.

Design of a novel CEM‐FRM‐based low‐complexity channelised radar transmitter
With the development of the radar technology, it is required that a radar has wider bandwidth and can transmit multiple signals simultaneously. The polyphase digital channelised transmitter structure can transmit multiple signals simultaneously and ...
