On the statistics of signal-to-interference plus noise ratio in wireless communications

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2009
This paper presents a unified analytical method for efficient computation of first and second order statistics of the signal-to-interference-plus-noise- ratio (SINR) in wireless communication systems. New exact expressions are derived for the moments of SINR and its autocorrelation function that are valid for arbitrary interfering signals.

Signal-to-interference-plus- noise-ratio analysis for constrained radar waveforms

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2016
To fully appreciate the benefits of arbitrary waveform design capability for transmit adaptive systems, the trade space between constraints (employed to increase the measure of practicality for radar) and the usual performance driver (signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio) needs to be better defined and understood. We address this issue by developing ...

Signal-to-Interference-Plus-Noise Ratio Analysis for Direct-Sequence Ultra-Wideband Systems

2007 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2007
In this paper, exact signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) analysis of direct-sequence ultra-wideband (UWB) systems with rake receiving in the presence of inter-symbol interference and multiple-access interference over realistic UWB channel models is conducted.

Robust beamforming against direction-of-arrival mismatch via signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio maximization

2017 9th International Conference on Wireless Communications and Signal Processing (WCSP), 2017
In this paper, the problem of adaptive beamforming in the presence of direction-of-arrival (DOA) mismatch is investigated. To develop a robust beamformer against such an imperfection, a new approach is devised by formulating an output signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) maximization problem.

An MMSE Based Signal to Leakage Plus Noise Ratio Precoding Scheme with Other Cell Interference

2013 IEEE 78th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Fall), 2013
In this paper, we consider the problem of interference suppression by means of precoding method in multiuser MIMO (MU-MIMO) downlink communications. Compared with the conventional algorithms such as Block Diagonalization in the Presence of Other Cell Interference (BD-POCI) and Block Diagonalization with Signal to Leakage plus Noise Ratio (BD-SLNR ...
