Transfer Functions for Protein Signal Transduction: Application to a Model of Striatal Neural Plasticity

open access: goldPLoS ONE, 2013
We present a novel formulation for biochemical reaction networks in the context of signal transduction. The model consists of input-output transfer functions, which are derived from differential equations, using stable equilibria. We select a set of 'source' species, which receive input signals.

Transfer Across Different Machines by Transfer Function Estimation

open access: yesFrontiers in Artificial Intelligence, 2022
A digital twin is a promising evolving tool for prognostic health monitoring. However, in rotating machinery, the transfer function between the rotating components and the sensor distorts the vibration signal, hence, complicating the ability to apply a ...

A Comparison of PCA and LBF Based Multireceiver SAS Imaging Algorithms

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Multireceiver synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) is a useful tool to provide high-resolution images. The most important step lies in developments of multireceiver synthetic aperture image formation processors, which uses the sonar echoed signal as the input.

Method for detecting vertical offset of coupling coil using signal coil based on magnetic coupling resonance wireless power transfer system [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2021
To improve the reliability in wireless power transfer system, communication is widely used. An independent coil as the signal coil for data transfer has the advantage of decoupling power coupling mechanism and signal coil when designing the system ...

Visualization of WiFi Signals Using Programmable Transfer Functions

open access: yesInformation, 2022
In this paper, we show how volume rendering with a Programmable Transfer Function can be used for the effective and comprehensible visualization of WiFi signals. A traditional transfer function uses a low-dimensional lookup table to map the volumetric scalar field to color and opacity.

Band extension in digital methods of transfer function determination – signal conditioners asymmetry error corrections [PDF]

open access: yesBiuletyn Wojskowej Akademii Technicznej, 2014
Abstract. In the paper, the calibrating method for error correction in transfer function determination with the use of DSP has been proposed. The correction limits/eliminates influence of transfer function input/output signal conditioners on the ...

Small‐signal modelling considering internal perturbations for modular multilevel converters

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2023
Small‐signal modelling of modular multilevel converters (MMC) has drawn lots of attention recently. Existing research mainly studies MMC terminal impedances by injecting corresponding AC‐side and DC‐side external small‐signal perturbations.

Linear predictor and autocorrelation for noisy and delayed digital signal

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 2023
This paper deals with the association between the linear prediction and digital signal modeling and ends up with the suitable ways to predict the signal by considering a stationary signal $y_{n}$.
