Inertial sensor signals denoising with directed transfer function
2015 9th International Symposium on Advanced Topics in Electrical Engineering (ATEE), 2015In order to achieve precise navigation information on the displacement of a vehicle in terms of position, speed, acceleration and direction we are suggesting the use of a new software procedure for processing data received from miniaturized inertial navigation systems.

Transfer functions for UHF partial discharge signals in GIS
11th International Symposium on High-Voltage Engineering (ISH 99), 1999The principles of electromagnetic radiation by partial discharges (PD) in gas insulated substations (GIS) are described. Calculated transfer functions are presented, showing that transverse electric modes are predominant for radial PD currents in the coaxial geometry.

Signal processors with transfer function coefficients determined by timing [PDF]
Signal processors are proposed which can be implemented using only delay elements, analog gates, an unweighted summer and a low-pass filter or integrator. It is shown that in some cases even the summer and the low-pass filter can be omitted. The transfer function coefficients depend on timing, and are independent of values or even value ratios of ...

Signals for transfer function measurements in non-linear systems
Journal of Nuclear Energy. Parts A/B. Reactor Science and Technology, 1964From Symposium on Noise Analysis in Nuclear Systems, Gainesville, Fla., Nov. 1963. The synthesis of test signals for the measurement of dynamic characteristics of noniinear systems described by a functional expansion is discussed. The output of a nonlinear system can be expanded into an infinite sum of functionals of the input, which are multi ...

Signal Processing for Modulation Transfer Function Test Bench
2011 Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics (SOPO), 2011The signal processing flow for the MTF test bench that is based on Fourier analysis method is presented. The signal processing flow mainly consists of three parts that are Fourier analyzing, background correction and system attenuation elimination. The center of the pinhole area is recognized automatically and the line spread functions (LSF) of both ...

Transfer functions for amplitude-modulated signals
Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Part I: Communication and Electronics, 1956THE purpose of this paper is to derive the general theoretical requirements which must be met by linear networks which are to perform specified operations on amplitude modulated signals. In particular, an exact correspondence will be established between a realizable transfer function A (s) which performs a given operation on any modulating function fm ...

Methods for testing signals considering jitter transfer function [PDF]
A signal with a jitter in excess of one unit interval will result in a failure of functional testing because the signal and its expected data are misaligned. Additionally, jitter measurements performed without considering the correct jitter transfer function (JTF) will yield incorrect results. Here, two methods are presented: one for functional testing

Sterol Carrier Protein-2 Functions in Phosphatidylinositol Transfer and Signaling
Biochemistry, 2003Over 20 years ago, it was reported that liver cytosol contains at least two distinct proteins that transfer phosphatidylinositol in vitro, phosphatidylinositol transfer protein (PITP) and a pH 5.1 supernatant fraction containing sterol carrier protein-2 (SCP-2).

Transferability of real-time safety performance functions for signalized intersections
Accident Analysis & Prevention, 2019Optimizing traffic signals in real-time for safety performance can be executable in the era of Connected Vehicles (CVs) when real-time information on vehicle positions and trajectories is available. To achieve this, real-time safety models are needed to understand how changes in signal controllers affect safety in real-time. Recently, several real-time

Dual functions of the signal peptide in protein transfer across the membrane
Cell, 1985Most secretory proteins in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells are synthesized from a precursor with an amino-terminal extension of 20 to 25 amino acid residues called a signal peptide. These signal peptides are removed during translocation of the secretory proteins across the membrane. When two precursor structures are fused, the internalized second
