Fast Dark Signal Measurements of SVOM VT CCDs Using the Vertical Gradient of Dark Field Images

open access: yesPhotonics, 2021
This paper describes a fast technique for estimating the dark signals of the charge coupled devices (CCDs) of the visible telescope (VT) onboard the space multi-band variable object monitor (SVOM).

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

2–D Lossless FIR Filter Design Using Synthesis of the Paraunitary Transfer Function Matrix

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2023
A synthesis method for designing two-dimensional lossless finite impulse response (FIR) filters for various digital signal processing tasks is proposed.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Development of the PSO method for the determination of the dynamic response of a pyroelectric sensor

open access: yesInternational Journal of Metrology and Quality Engineering, 2016
We modeled a pyroelectric sensor by a current source connected in parallel with output impedance. The dynamic behavior of the sensor is described using a transfer function designed using the MATLAB Simulink environment.

Reconstruction Technique of Distorted Sensor Signals With Low-Pass NGD Function

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper develops a new reconstruction technique of undesirable signal distortion generated by sensor electronic circuits. The introduced reconstruction technique is originally realized with unfamiliar low-pass negative group delay (NGD) function.

An intracellular transporter mitigates the CO2‐induced decline in iron content in Arabidopsis shoots

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study identifies a gene encoding a transmembrane protein, MIC, which contributes to the reduction of shoot Fe content observed in plants under elevated CO2. MIC is a putative Fe transporter localized to the Golgi and endosomal compartments. Its post‐translational regulation in roots may represent a potential target for improving plant nutrition ...

A Unified Frequency Domain Model to Study the Effect of Demyelination on Axonal Conduction

open access: yesBiomedical Engineering and Computational Biology, 2016
Multiple sclerosis is a disease caused by demyelination of nerve fibers. In order to determine the loss of signal with the percentage of demyelination, we need to develop models that can simulate this effect. Existing time-based models does not provide a

A Cre‐dependent lentiviral vector for neuron subtype‐specific expression of large proteins

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We designed a versatile and modular lentivector comprising a Cre‐dependent switch and self‐cleaving 2A peptide and tested it for co‐expression of GFP and a 2.8 kb gene of interest (GOI) in mouse cortical parvalbumin (PV+) interneurons and midbrain dopamine (TH+) neurons.

Vibration Separation Methodology Compensated by Time-Varying Transfer Function for Fault Diagnosis of Non-Hunting Tooth Planetary Gearbox

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Due to planetary movement of planet gears, the vibration signal perceived by a stationary sensor is modulated and difficult to diagnose. This paper proposed a vibration separation methodology compensated by a time-varying transfer function (TVTF-VS ...
