Giant Anisotropic Spin Absorption in Chiral Hybrid Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Researchers uncover that chiral hybrid organic–inorganic semiconductors absorb spin differently depending on its polarization direction. This anisotropic spin absorption is primarily driven by the local symmetry breaking within the layered structure.

1T‐to‐2H Phase Evolution During Epitaxial Growth of Transition Metal Dichalcogenides

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
During MOCVD growth of MoS2 and WSe2, a transient metallic 1T phase emerges in early, edge‐rich, chalcogen‐deficient domains and declines as the films ultimately coalesce as 2H material. Together, experiments and ReaxFF simulations link domain size, edge stoichiometry, and vacancies to this evolution.

Antibody‐Precomplexed Hemagglutinin Constructs Multivalently Bind Sialylated Glycan Receptors with Variable Valencies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Hemagglutinin precomplexation with antibodies (Abs) results in broad valency distributions, though it increases the total avidity from mM to nM to high nM. The valency distribution and the orientation of multivalent HA‐Ab complexes determine the extent of binding to different types of assays, whether the receptors are displayed in 2D or 3D.

Aerosol Jet Printing of Benzocyclobutene as a Thermally Stable, Low‐Loss Dielectric for Multilayer Microwave Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Multilayer aerosol jet printed components with a low‐loss, thermally stable dielectric are demonstrated using benzocyclobutene. Ink formulation and in‐line droplet evaporation control support high‐quality, versatile, and stable printing performance. A specialized measurement for low‐loss materials reveals promising microwave properties, which, combined

Toward Perception‐Native Electronic Skin: Bio‐Inspired In‐/Near‐Sensor and Neuromorphic Computing for Humanoid Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Dense tactile streams from across the humanoid body converge on collide in a central wiring and data bottleneck. By relocating computation closer to and then into the skin itself, near‐ and in‐sensor architectures, together with neuromorphic computing, chart a path toward perception‐native electronic skin, in which the conversion of stimulus into ...

Programmable Crack Networks for Wide‐Range and Reversible Strain Sensing in Vertically Oriented van der Waals Molybdenum Disulfide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Vertically oriented van der Waals MoS2 thin films enable a mechanically programmable crack network for strain sensing. The initial mechanical programming protocol establishes a programmed crack configuration along weak interlayer and interdomain interfaces.

Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.
