Profinite algebras and affine boundedness
We prove a characterization of profinite algebras, i.e., topological algebras that are isomorphic to a projective limit of finite discrete algebras. In general profiniteness concerns both the topological and algebraic characteristics of a topological ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Searching for KvBLL calorons in SU(3) lattice gauge field ensembles
We discuss Kraan - van Baal - Lee - Lu (KvBLL) solutions of the classical Yang-Mills equations with temperature in the context of SU(3) lattice gauge theory. We present discretized lattice versions of KvBLL solutions and other dyonic structures, obtained

Signatures in algebra, topology and dynamics
We survey the 19th century development of the signature of a quadratic form, and the applications in the 20th and 21st century to the topology of manifolds and dynamical systems. Version 2 is an expanded and corrected version of Version 1, including an Appendix by the second named author "Algebraic L-theory of rings with involution and the localization

Rich unconventional Hall effects in a single quasi-kagome Kondo Weyl semimetal candidate Ce3TiSb5
It is generally believed that electronic correlation, geometric frustration, and topology, individually, can facilitate the emergence of various intriguing properties that have attracted a broad audience for both fundamental research and potential ...

Global rigidity of solvable group actions on S^1
In this paper we find all solvable subgroups of Diff^omega(S^1) and classify their actions. We also investigate the C^r local rigidity of actions of the solvable Baumslag-Solitar groups on the circle.

This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

We investigate the hollowing transition of a shell-shaped Bose-Einstein condensate using collective excitations. The shell is created using an immiscible dual-species Bose-Einstein condensate mixture, with its hollowness controlled by tuning the ...

Random Generation Topology Coding Technique in Asymmetric Topology Encryption
The security of traditional public key cryptography algorithms depends on the difficulty of the underlying mathematical problems. Asymmetric topological encryption is a graph-dependent encryption algorithm produced to resist attacks by quantum computers ...
