Computerized signature verification system
IEEE Control Systems Magazine, 1988The fine structure of the human muscle forces that are exerted during the writing of a signature is consistent and well defined for most people. On the basis of this observation, an experimental system that utilizes a person's signature waveform dynamics for identification is proposed. The system is intended to be used for online signature verification.

Signature Verification Technologies
Biometric Technology Today, 2000Abstract The future for dynamic signature verification systems seems inextricably linked to the future of digital signatures, e-commerce, workflow management and non-repudiation of documents. Over the past year, the lines between document management and e-commerce markets have been blurring as document management has moved on-line.

Automatic on-line signature verification
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1997Automatic on-line signature verification is an intriguing intellectual challenge with many practical applications. I review the context of this problem and then describe my own approach to it, which breaks with tradition by relying primarily on the detailed shape of a signature for its automatic verification, rather than relying primarily on the pen ...

Computerised signature verification
The Computer Bulletin, 1995AEA Technology has developed a dynamic signature verification software called "Countermatch", for PCs. Use of an elastic pattern matching code allows a person's signature, captured electronically, to be compared against a reference "template", with a real or forged diagnosis being made in a little over one second.

Signature verification: A study
2013 4th International Conference on Computer and Communication Technology (ICCCT), 2013Signatures are widely used as a means of personal identification and verification. Many documents like bank cheques and legal transactions require signature verification. Signature-based verification of a large number of documents is a very difficult and time consuming task.

Online Signature Verification system
2009 5th International Colloquium on Signal Processing & Its Applications, 2009Online Signature Verification is a process of verifying the writer's identity by using signature verification system. This system can be use as a security system such as verification for assessing entry application and password substitutions. Signature verification technology requires primarily a digitizing tablet and a special pen connected to the ...

Improvement of Japanese Signature Verification by Segmentation-Verification
2013 12th International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition, 2013This paper proposes a new combined signature verification technique called segmentation-verification based on three different off-line feature vectors extracted from full name Japanese signature image and from the sub-images of the first name and the last name.

Multilingual signature-verification by generalized combined segmentation verification
2015 13th International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition (ICDAR), 2015We propose a combined segmentation-verification technique for Multilingual signature verification. One limitation of original segmentation verification method is that it is not applicable for such signatures which are difficult in segmentation like Latin-scripts signatures.

On-line signature verification using vertical signature partitioning
Expert Systems with Applications, 2014In this paper we propose a new approach to identity verification based on the analysis of the dynamic signature. Considered problem seems to be particularly important in terms of biometrics. Effectiveness of signature verification significantly increases when dynamic characteristics of the signature are considered (e.g.

Selection of reference signatures for automatic signature verification
Proceedings of the Fifth International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition. ICDAR '99 (Cat. No.PR00318), 1999This paper presents an effective procedure to select the reference specimens for a signature verification system. Specifically, from the analysis of local stability in handwritten signatures, a suitable measure is proposed to determine the capability of different sets of signatures in supporting effective verification.
