Stress and burnout: The significant difference
Personality and Individual Differences, 2005Abstract Burnout is often conceptualized within the framework of stress research. A unified statistical approach for determining significant signals in images of cerebral activation
Human Brain Mapping, 1996We present a unified statistical theory for assessing the significance of apparent signal observed in noisy difference images. The results are usable in a wide range of applications, including fMRI, but are discussed with particular reference to PET ...

Least Significant Difference Test
1987When the F-ratio determined by analysis of variance indicates a significant difference between sample means, it is desirable to determine which means are significantly different. The Newman-Keuls test (Procedure 36) is applicable for this purpose. When the sample sizes are equal, additional tests (besides Newman-Keuls) may be used.

The statistical significance of difference densities
Acta Crystallographica Section A Foundations of Crystallography, 1988The statistical properties of a difference density Δρ are not fully characterized by the standard deviation σ(Δρ), which relates to the density at a point. That is not sufficient information to assess the significance accurately for the density within a finite volume.
