Prediction of significant wave height based on EEMD and deep learning
Accurate and reliable wave significant wave height(SWH) prediction is an important task for marine and engineering applications. This study aims to develop a new deep learning algorithm to accurately predict the SWH of deep and distant ocean.

Extreme significant wave height of tropical cyclone waves in the South China Sea [PDF]
Abstract. Extreme significant wave heights are assessed in the South China Sea (SCS), as assessments of wave heights are crucial for coastal and offshore engineering. Two significant factors include the initial database and assessment method. The initial database is a basis for assessment, and the assessment method is used to extrapolate appropriate ...

Improved Prediction of Local Significant Wave Height by Considering the Memory of Past Winds
Wave and water depth were measured with an instrumented tripod in the Yellow River Delta from 9 December 2014 to 29 April 2015. Concurrent wind data were also collected from a nearby wind station.

Microstructure Evolution of a VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy After Synthesis, Swaging, and Annealing
The synthesis and processing (rotary swaging and annealing) of the novel VMnFeCoNi alloy is investigated, alongside the estimation of the grain size effect on hardness. Analysis of a wide grain size range of recrystallized microstructures (12–210 µm) reveals a low annealing twin density.

Omnipolar Magnetic Field Detection by Superlattice‐Based Hall Sensor
Magnetic‐field‐induced electronic switching is demonstrated in unit‐cell‐engineered La0.7Sr0.3MnO3–BiFeO3 superlattices. Distinct substrate terminations modify magnetic and transport properties. Hall resistance measurements show omnipolar, hysteretic anomalous Hall switching above the Curie temperature, arising from Fe─Mn interfacial exchange, enabling

Time and space scales of significant wave heights [PDF]
This paper presents a study of the temporal and spatial variability of the significant wave height (Hs) based on stationarity and correlation (spectral) analyses. A sea state is defined as a stationary state of a piecewise stationary stochastic random wave process.

Distribution of data by significant wave height.
This research introduces a deep learning method for ocean wave height estimation utilizing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based on the VGGNet. The model is trained on a dataset comprising buoy wave heights and radar images, both critical for marine

Spatially Modulated Morphotropic Phase Boundaries in a Compressively Strained Multiferroic Thin Film
ABSTRACT The coexisting rhombohedral‐like (R′, MA) and tetragonal‐like (T′, MC) monoclinic phases in compressively strained bismuth ferrite thin films exhibit exceptional piezoelectric and magnetic properties. While previous studies have largely focused on probing the morphotropic phase boundaries (MPBs) comprising ordered R′/T′ twins, their self ...
