Periodontitis, Edentulism, and Risk of Metabolic Syndrome, Obesity, and Dyslipidemia: A Systematic Review With Meta‐Analyses

The aim of this SR was to investigate the risk of metabolic syndrome (MetS) and its single components in individuals with or without periodontitis/edentulism. Within the limits of this SR, periodontitis was associated with one or more new MetS components and the association may be higher for severe periodontitis.
