AbstractThis unit presents a procedure to silanize (siliconize) glassware to prevent adsorption of solute to the glass surface or to increase its hydrophobicity. This is particularly important when dealing with low concentrations of particularly “sticky” solutes such as single‐stranded nucleic acids or proteins.

Neutral higher silane molecules in silane plasmas
Applied Physics Letters, 1998Neutral higher silane molecules in silane radio frequency glow discharge plasmas are investigated using photoionization mass spectroscopy at various radio frequency (rf) powers and total pressures. Densities of higher silane molecules increase with rf power up to 10 W, and then decrease at 10–100 W.
