CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Pengaruh Keasaman Medium dan Imobilisasi Gugus Organik pada Karakter Silika Gel dari Abu Sekam Padi

open access: yesJurnal Kimia Sains dan Aplikasi, 2005
Silica gel is well known as a material that may be used as adsorbent, host matrix for catalyst, etc. Hence, synthesis of silica gel from rice hull ash has been done by evaluation of the effect of medium acidity and organic group immobilized in the ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Surface Modification of Silica Gel by Interfacial Polyelectrolyte Complexes

open access: yesAdsorption Science & Technology, 1999
Two types of modified silica gel have been prepared by constructing layers of a thermolabile interfacial polyelectrolyte complex on the surface of silica gel using diazo resin (DR) as the polycation and poly(sodium styrene sulphonate) (PSS) as the ...

Effects of sodium ions on synthesized alkali silica reaction gels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The alkali-silica reaction (ASR), leading to serious structural degradation, is the chemical reaction between reactive silica presenting in aggregates and hydroxyl ions from cement paste or pore solution. Although the chemical mechanism of ASR attack has

Effect of silica colloids on the rheology of viscoelastic gels formed by the surfactant cetyl trimethylammonium tosylate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The effects of the addition of sub-micrometer sized colloidal silica spheres on the linear and nonlinear rheology of semi-dilute solutions of a viscoelastic gel are studied.

Hyperactive ice‐binding proteins stabilize cell membranes and improve resistance to dehydration stress in Caenorhabditis elegans

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.
