Thickness Variation of the Polymer Electrode in Hybrid Flexible Electrochromic Devices: Impact of Charge Balancing on Performance

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
GA: Film thickness variation, achieved by in situ roll‐to‐roll polymerization of a PEDOT derivative, is used to understand charge balance in ECDs with a Ni‐oxide counter electrode. Transmittance modulation of the films ranges from 47% to 55%. The cycling stability of hybrid ECDs is optimized by appropriate charge balancing.

Sealing Porous Silicon Nanoparticles with Stimuli‐Responsive Disulfide Polymers for Cellular Delivery

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
Herein, the use of stimuli‐responsive poly(disulfide)s as a sealing/coating strategy for porous silicon nanoparticles (pSiNPs) is reported. The polymer matrix is formed in one‐pot protocols in water and various payloads could be loaded spontaneously.

On The Existence of Highly Condensed Sulfatotungstates and Sulfatomolybdates

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
GA: The very first sulfatotungstates and sulfatomolybdates with two‐ and three‐dimensional condensed anions show a remarkable thermal stability and may open the door to a new class of condensed antenna phosphors with reduced vibrational quenching. We also focus on their optical properties and their phase‐pure synthesis at comparably mild temperatures ...

Ancillary X‐Type Ligand Effects in Alkyne and Diyne Metathesis with Fluoroalkoxy Molybdenum Alkylidynes

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
A series of hexa‐ and nonafluoroalkoxy molybdenum alkylidynes featuring ancillary imidazolin‐2‐imide, phosphoraneimide, and siloxide ligands has been synthesized and characterized. The siloxy‐substituted derivative enables efficient diyne disproportionation, affording triynes with high selectivity.

Amorphous Protective Layers to Reshape Inorganic‐Rich Interphases for High‐Voltage Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
Herein, we propose a straightforward and efficacious strategy of surface modification for P2‐type Na0.7Li0.03Mg0.03Ni0.27Mn0.6Ti0.07O2 cathode in high‐voltage Na‐ion batteries. The stable amorphous SiO2 coating layer on the cathode surface contributes to a strong, dense, fluorine and silicon‐rich cathode–electrolyte interphase, which inhibits the side ...
