A stable bio‐based nanocomposite coating for urinary catheters is developed using a simple, environmentally‐friendly sonochemical process. The coating, integrating antimicrobial, antibiofilm, and antioxidant properties, effectively tackled multiple early‐stage pathogenic factors associated with catheter‐associated urinary tract infections.

Experimental Study of Gas Microbubbles on Oil‐Infused Wrinkled Surfaces
Microbubbles are observed on both superhydrophobic (SHS) and lubricant‐infused surfaces (LIS) immersed to gassed water. The bubbles on LIS are stabilized by the lubricant cloaking layer, while bubbles on SHS shrink vertically over the same time frame.

DNA-coated Functional Oil Droplets
Many industrial soft materials often include oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions at the core of their formulations. By using tuneable interface stabilizing agents, such emulsions can self-assemble into complex structures.

High Speed Imagery Analysis of Droplet Impact on Soft Oil Infused Surface [PDF]
Droplet impact on solid liquid-infused surfaces (LIS) has been widely explored due to its significant scientific implications and industrial relevance. In most studies, the predominant impact behavior observed is complete droplet rebound. In This study we investigated the influence of octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS) functionalization and oil coatings on

Low‐interfacial toughness PDMS/SiO2 coatings are applied to aluminum substrates and tested under natural high‐altitude conditions. The coatings demonstrate strong anti‐icing, icephobic, and large‐scale deicing performance. Field results highlight delayed freezing, reduced ice adhesion, and stable durability, offering practical insights into the use of ...
