A Relative Silting Theorem

Applied Categorical Structures, 2022
Tilting theory arises as a universal method for constructing equivalences between categories. Originally introduced in the context of module categories over finite dimensional algebras, tilting theory is now considered an essential tool in the study of many areas of mathematics, including finite and algebraic group theory, commutative and non ...

GORENSTEIN SILTING COMPLEXES

Glasgow Mathematical Journal, 2021
AbstractWe introduce and study the notion of Gorenstein silting complexes, which is a generalization of Gorenstein tilting modules in Gorenstein-derived categories. We give the equivalent characterization of Gorenstein silting complexes. We give a sufficient condition for a partial Gorenstein silting complex to have a complement.

Annual textural banding in Holocene estuarine silts, Severn Estuary Levels (SW Britain): patterns, cause and implications

open access: yesHolocene, 2004
A high-resolution textural study has been made of laminated and banded estuarine silts exposed intertidally at representative localities and horizons in the Holocene deposits of the Severn Estuary Levels.

SILT

2014
Situated on the bank of the Brisbane River beneath the Story Bridge, Bureau Proberts' residential project clearly demonstrates the complexities of dealing with context. The article reviews the architectural design of the Silt apartment building in Brisbane, Queensland that was designed by Bureau Roberts.

Compression and Strength Characteristics of Two Silts of Low and High Plasticity [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering - ASCE, 2018
The potential for enhanced strength or stiffness arising from the microstructure of natural silty soils compared with their reconstituted state is examined using the framework for clays, to assess the extent to which it can be used for silts.

Weak Silting Modules

Algebras and Representation Theory
Tilting theory has been a very successful technique used both to pass information from one algebra to another and to better understand internally a module category. It dates back to the 1980s. More recently, silting theory has been introduced as a generalization of tilting theory and it has been the object of much study in the representation theory of ...

Liquefaction characteristics of silts

Geotechnical and Geological Engineering, 1996
The paper presents a summary of the results of cyclical triaxial load testing of samples of silt and silty sands. The paper emphasizes differences in behaviour observed between reconstituted triaxial samples of clean sand, of sand containing 10, 20, 30 and 60% silt, pure silt, and undisturbed samples of silt and silty sand.
