Silver fir and spruce tree-ring chronologies in Slovenia

Four local chronologies of Silver fir (Abies alba Mill.)and three of Norway spruce (Picea abies karst.)from the Dinaric region of Slovenia are presented. It will be necessary to construct more than one reference chronology for each tree species. For this purpose, long-term systematic work by an interdisciplinary team is needed.
