Molecular Design and Interfacial Functions of Self‐Assembled Monolayers for Perovskite and Tandem Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
We identify two decisive levers for SAM interfaces: molecular design (carboxylic acid‐based, phosphonic acid, other anchoring chemistries, and polymeric SAMs) and mixing routes (co‐assembly, in situ assembly, pre‐ and post‐treatment). Coordinated tuning of headgroups and assembly pathways optimises energy alignment and film formation, suppresses ...

Plasmon-enhanced sensitization of singlet oxygen on silver island films

open access: yesBulletin of the Karaganda University "Physics Series"
The influence of the plasmonic effect of silver island films on the absorption, fluorescence and long-term luminescence of rose bengal in polyvinyl butyral films has been studied. Under the plasmon effect, the optical density of the dye increased by 3.3 times, the fluorescence intensity by 8.5 times, and the long-lived fluorescence and phosphorescence ...

Tunable lasing on silver island films by coupling to the localized surface plasmon

open access: yesOptical Materials Express, 2015
Lasing of N,N'-bis(3-methylphenyl)-N,N'-diphenyl-[1,1':4',1”-terphenyl]-4,4”-diamine (BMT-TPD) films on silver island films (SIFs) was investigated. The size of silver nanoparticles (NPs) of SIFs ranged from 8 to 500 nm, which showed the different localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR).
